Some may attempt to steal your thunder, but they can't ever take your lightning.

Alex Mumford is a composer / producer / performer presently based in New London, Connecticut. He is founder of the cyberpop musical act Bardic Black and owner of Almost An Apple recording studios.

In his compositions, Alex's unique choice in aesthetics and orchestration blends the textures of gothic romance and horror with psychedelic and synth-pop gestures. He has studied composition under Peyman Farzinpour and Ramin Arjomand; electronic composition under Dafna Naphtali; audio engineering under Paul Geluso and Adrian Tregonning; and music editing and film scoring under Todd Kasow (True Grit), Nancy Allen (Lord of the Rings trilogy), and Ira Newborn (Sixteen Candles).

In addition to his work on Bardic Black, Alex works directly with the talents and directors at Facebook, The Travel Channel, and Mercedes-Benz, while also helping independent artists accent their artistic vision through fresh sound recordings – where his techniques have even helped land off-broadway performances.

As a producer, Alex loves working with driven, open, vulnerable humans – helping them solve problems and overcome obstacles through teamwork. He would be thrilled to hear about the vision you have and how he can help best bring that to life–!
